Common Bur Sedge is a moisture-loving plant that wows with its unique, yellow-green seed heads that look like starbursts or, if you prefer, medieval weapons called maces. These fruits are attractive in both fresh and dried flower arrangements and remain on the plant in winter, adding year-round visual interest. The sedge will slowly spread to form a colony but won’t outcompete neighboring plants. Excellent for adding texture and contrast to mixed plantings.
