Wine Cups gets this common name from the goblet-shaped, vibrant magenta flowers it flaunts continuously all summer. It has a sprawling habit, with deeply lobed, dark green leaves that form a dense mat and provide a lush backdrop for the brilliant blooms. It can make a striking groundcover in dry and sunny areas, cascade beautifully down from container plantings, or extend itself gently over hardscaping, softening garden edges. Attracts a range of pollinators and is larval host to several butterfly and moth species. Readily self-seeds when happy.
