Caltha palustris-Marsh Marigold

Marsh Marigold is an excellent addition to any wet area with its bright, early-season blooms that bring a welcome burst of color after winter's end. Its vivid yellow flowers rise on short stems above glossy, dark green heart-shaped leaves. It forms a low, spreading clump and can thrive in all light conditions as long as it has near constant moisture. Tolerating periods of standing water, it is the perfect choice for rain gardens or those tricky sodden areas of the yard.
