Amsonia Hubrichtii- Thread Leafed Bluestar

Thread Leafed Bluestar catches the eye with its soft feathery foliage, adding a finely textured element to the garden that provides a beautiful contrast with broad-leafed neighbors. This low-maintenance plant forms dense, erect clumps that take on a shrub-like form with a few years age. In late spring and early summer loose clusters of pale blue, star-like flowers burst forth from the tops of its upright stems. These attract butterflies and morph into slender, elongated seed pods upon pollination. Its needle-like leaves turn a striking yellow in the fall, providing visual interest late in the season. Deer and rabbit resistant with little-to-no pest issues.
